Samueli Foundation awards $15M capacity grants to 89 Orange County community nonprofits

Samueli Foundation has announced $15 million in grants to 89 nonprofit organizations serving Orange County, California, through the second year of its Breakaway and Build OC Fund initiative. The grants provide flexible operational and capital support, funding technology upgrades, facility improvements, transportation, leadership development, specialized expertise and community programs. The latest awards bring the foundation’s two-year investment through the fund to $32 million supporting 235 nonprofits. The 2026 cycle included $5 million through the Breakaway Fund and $10 million through the Build OC Fund, helping organizations strengthen infrastructure and expand services for vulnerable communities across Orange County.
