Florida’s Bishop-Parker Foundation awards $4.8M across Manatee County and North River Shores

The Bishop-Parker Foundation has announced nearly $4.8 million in grants to 42 nonprofits across Florida’s Manatee County to advance education, healthcare, human services, environmental research, and community development. The awards include $1.2 million to the University of Florida Foundation in Gainesville for its Inflammatory Bowel and Celiac Disease Program; $488,000 to the School District of Manatee County for teacher retention; and $270,000 to Turning Points for expanded healthcare services. The funding also strengthens the foundation’s North River Shores collaboration with the Patterson Foundation and the Harwood Institute for Public Innovation to support inclusive growth in the fast-growing regions.
