Amazon $7M Montgomery County, Missouri, community grants tied to new $10B data center

Amazon has announced a $10 billion investment to build a new data center campus in Montgomery County, Missouri, alongside more than $7 million in community contributions. The funding includes $3 million for emergency dispatch services, over $1 million to develop high-tech community gathering spaces at public events, and an additional $3 million for local community programs and a $150,000 community fund for small grants supporting county projects. The project is expected to create over 400 full-time jobs, thousands of construction jobs, and generate significant long-term tax revenue. Amazon will also fully cover electrical grid connection costs and implement water-saving agricultural technology partnerships.
