ASAP and MJFF $261M commitment expands push to decode Parkinson’s disease and speed drug discovery

Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s in partnership with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research has awarded $261 million in grant funding to expand its Collaborative Research Network across institutions worldwide, including coordination hubs in Washington, DC and New York City to advance Parkinson’s disease research. The commitment will support 32 international research teams studying disease heterogeneity, environmental and genetic drivers, and co-pathologies to enable precision medicine and personalized therapies. The funding will also back a multiyear collaborative grant program to build shared datasets, tools, and drug targets, advancing diagnostics and therapeutic development worldwide.
