The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia has awarded C$1.25 million ($925,000) in grants to 67 community organizations across the Canadian province to expand access to support services and to build and strengthen social and community connections. The funding is focused on diverse groups—including youth, Indigenous and African Nova Scotians, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities—supporting programs including camps, peer connection opportunities, and community-based activities. This award prioritizes reducing isolation and social stigma, and improving early support networks. By backing grassroots services provincewide, the foundation aims to increase belonging, improve mental well-being, and reach underserved populations with accessible, community-driven care.
