Syracuse-area philanthropist Rob Morris launches $10M DAF to fuel area nonprofits and youth programs

Syracuse-area philanthropist and Jamesville-DeWitt alumnus Rob Morris has launched a $10 million donor-advised fund (DAFs) supporting nonprofits in Syracuse and surrounding communities. The fund—now opened to rolling applications—will provide unrestricted charitable grants to organizations addressing youth needs, including food insecurity, cancer support, and sports access. Early awards include Erin’s Angels of Central New York, the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation, and PGA REACH Central New York. Morris, chairman and CEO of Olympus Partners, has also previously funded local initiatives including $1 million to Syracuse Challenger Baseball providing athletic opportunities to people with special needs.
