Indiana’s Lakeview Ministries receives $9.5M from Lilly to modernize camp, expand programs

Indiana’s Lilly Endowment has awarded a $9.5 million matching grant to Lakeview Ministries (formally the South Central Lutheran Camp Association of Indiana) to expand and modernize its residential youth camp. The capital grant, part of Lilly’s multi-phase Capital Project Initiative, will fund infrastructure upgrades, renovations, and site expansions tied to Lakeview’s long-term “For Generations to Come” campaign, which has now raised more than $20 million. The funding, which builds on a December 2025 $1.5 million Lilly award, is expected to bolster the camp’s programming capacity for decades.
