Florida’s United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades closes funding gap with community support

United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades has reached its $11.51 million annual campaign goal after community donors closed a $1.6 million funding gap, enabling continued support for 92 partner agencies and 265 programs across Southwest Florida. The annual campaign, “One in a Million,” drew contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations and community partners, including $250,000 from Lee Health and several $100,000 gifts as well as matching commitments. The network reaches about 500,000 people annually through services addressing local needs, while United Way also operates 11 programs, including 211, VITA and WeCare.
