Wayne State receives combined gifts of $13M for student success center renovations

Nebraska’s Wayne State College has announced combined commitments totaling more than $13 million in support of renovations to the Brandenburg Student Success Center. The funding includes a $5 million leadership gift from alumni Don and Diane Soukup, with additional funding from the Sherwood Foundation and the William and Ruth Scott Family Foundation. The awards boost funding for the project–estimated to cost $18.7 million–creating a centralized hub for admissions, financial aid, academic and career services, and disability support to improve student success, retention, graduation rates, and workforce readiness.
