The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has received a $2.3 million bequest from Dean Emeritus Robert J. Bauer–a five-decade-long faculty member and administrator–to strengthen programs across the university. The estate gift will fund a named professorship-director of bands, new music equipment, programming at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, and the Weidner Philharmonic. In addition, the award will back student support and services for veterans and expanded educational resources for student-athletes in the women’s basketball program.
