Evan Spiegel and Miranda Kerr erase $550M in medical debt for 261,000 Californians

Evan Spiegel, through a multimillion-dollar donation to Undue Medical Debt, have helped eliminate $550 million in medical debt for more than 261,000 Californians. The award from Speigel, co-founder and CEO of Snap, and Kerr, runway model and founder of KORA Organics, enables the nonprofit to purchase and retire medical debt in bulk for people facing financial hardship across the state. The relief will help eligible people and families reduce financial strain from healthcare costs. The contribution builds on the couple’s previous philanthropy supporting education, disaster recovery, and community needs in San Diego and Los Angeles counties.
