San Francisco-based Working Capital Fund has secured $31 million to invest in startups building more equitable and resilient supply chains, leveraging worker-centered technologies. The fund aims to accelerate technologies that strengthen worker rights alongside sustainable business growth. Philanthropic backers include the Omidyar Group, the Soros Economic Development Fund, and the Minderoo Foundation, with SAP, the enterprise software company, and Stardust Equity joining as new investors. The venture fund will expand its focus on AI-driven solutions that empower and upskill workers rather than displace them, while improving supply-chain transparency and labor protections.
