Kades Foundation awards $5M to Houston’s Hobby Center for the Performing Arts

The Ken and Mady Kades Foundation has awarded an unrestricted $5 million leadership gift to the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston, Texas, supporting a campus-wide upgrade and a new donor hospitality space. Announced at the center’s annual gala, the award will fund strategic initiatives and enhance audience and donor engagement infrastructure. The gala also raised more than $815,000 for education programs that will provide free performances to roughly 50,000 students for the coming season. The combined contributions strengthen Houston’s performing arts ecosystem through expanded access, facilities, and community programming.
