The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation has announced a $60 million award to the Mandel Jewish Community Center of Cleveland to expand Jewish camp experiences for youth and families. The grant anchors the center’s $75 million capital initiative and will serve as a 4-to-1 community challenge, in an effort to amplify local giving. The funds will modernize aging facilities, help expand capacity to over 1,300 campers, and create year-round youth hubs in Beachwood and at Camp Wise. The funding aims to deepen Jewish community identity, expand access, and meet rising demand among families seeking connection.
