The GAR Foundation in Akron, Ohio, has announced grants totaling nearly $2 million to 24 nonprofit organizations supporting essential services, housing stability, local journalism, arts, education, and community development across the region. Recipients include Akron Art Museum and the Youth Success Summit each receiving $250,000 and ACCESS receiving $180,000 in multiyear operating support. ArtsNow received $145,000; Project Learn of Summit County, $130,000; and Signal Akron and Downtown Akron Development Corporation, $100,000 each.
